Seagate Celebrates 30 Years

THIS CONTEST IS CLOSED.

Dust off those old Polaroids and take a trip down memory lane, back 30 years to 1979.

Whether it’s an old school picture of yours or a family member, you wearing your favorite Pink Floyd concert tee, or basking in the glory of your TransAM ( complete with the firebird on the hood and t-tops), we want to see “what chu talkin about (Willis)” in 1979.

So…send in a picture of yourself, a friend or a family member from 1979 and be entered to win one of five 320GB FreeAgent Go drives.  If you’re not one of the lucky five, you still may be one of fifty to walk away with a groovy Seagate t-shirt (to replace that old Floyd concert tee).

How?
•    Email your photo to rich.harris[at]seagate.com
•    Email a URL to your photo (can be on a blog, flickr, photobucket, whatever) to rich.harris@seagate.com
•    Post to twitter using the hashtag #stx30yrs (you can post a URL or twitpic, etc.)
•    Post the link to the photo on our Facebook wall
Photos will be shared in a 1979 photo set on the Seagate.com/flickr page for everyone to enjoy, so get the okay from the family member or friend if the photo is not you!
Visit the Flickr page often to check out all that was 1979 in the eyes of Seagate fans.

Please include name of the person in the photo, age when the photo was taken and the location the photo was taken (if known).  In order to be notified as a winner, please include your full name and email address with your entry (your email address will not be posted publicly). The contest will be running from November 17, 2009 to December 14, 2009.  The winners will be announced on Monday, December 14, 2009.
